Rhodococcus jostii RHA1. This strain was isolated from soil contaminated with gamma-hexachlorocyclohexane (lindane: a toxic insecticide) in Japan. This organism may be useful in the bioremediation of contaminated environmental sites. (NCBI BioProject: bp_list[1])
