Metabolically, S. parauberis is a chemoheterotroph, utilizing complex organic compounds as its energy source. It produces energy through the breakdown of these organic molecules, a process facilitated by cellular respiration. In terms of its Gram stain, S. parauberis exhibits the characteristic purple-red coloration, indicating a Gram-positive bacterial cell.
